Aloha, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I gained my degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University and work with clients from all backgrounds and ages 8 to 90. Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Anger Management, and Stress-reduction are just some of the areas I specialize in. Clients need to know that their therapist listens closely and understands what they are going through. Therefore I choose to take a listen-first approach to build trust and rapport with a client. We then form a team to start the work that will be needed to overcome their challenges by utilizing interventions and strategies that resonate with them.

🏡 Outside of Work
I was born on Oahu and raised in the Kapahulu area to a single mother and brother. Growing up in a lower income neighborhood and going to Jefferson Elementary, Washington Intermediate and then Kaimuki High School allowed me to gain a rich experience among various ethnicities. After graduating from high school in 1985 my life path finally became clear and I graduated from UH West Oahu with my Bachelor’s Degree in 1999 and then my Master’s at Chaminade in 2003. I have been married for nearly 20 years to my beautiful wife and we have a wonderful daughter and son.
